The Golden Globes are over and the Oscars have been awarded, but it’s never too soon to start thinking about the next award season. This year, give something that people will want to display long after the awards ceremony is over. Let’s face it – if you’ve seen one crystal statue, you’ve seen them all. We’ve all been the recipient of an award that was truly an honor to receive, but truly a horror to display.
I was an Art History major in college and as a lifelong student of the arts, I’m always on the lookout for unique and creative promotional pieces. Recently, I’ve seen some beautiful pieces of art that have been transformed into awards by some of our top suppliers. They’ve modified the artwork so that it can be engraved with a company logo, recipient name, and award name and the result is both tasteful and eye-catching.
So move over dull crystal from past years, it’s time for a little excitement on the award shelf! Maybe we should start a Quintain Marketing employee of the month award because I love these designer glass plates with an imprintable stand! And if glass plates like these aren’t your thing, how about working with us to design your own custom crystal award? We’ve got great suppliers for that option too! Give us a call today and we’ll help make your next award season one to remember.

You know you are getting old when you have moments where you think, “I can’t remember how we made it through the day without …. (insert: email, fax machines, the internet, GPS, DVR, blackberries, etc.)!” I am thinking just that this morning as I watch the snow fall (6 inches so far and no end in sight) and consider going out into what has become a blizzard to shovel.
How did we ever get through weather like this without hand and foot warmers? They’ve got to be one of the great unsung innovations of the last twenty years. When I was a child growing up in New Hampshire, we used to heat metal bricks next to the woodstove and then put them in our boots to warm them up. We had something similar that slipped into an oven mit-type sleeve that could be placed in your bed, and other equally archaic metal forms that would fit into mittens. Every time I mention this to the kids, they tell me I sound like Laura Ingalls Wilder – and that I must be as old!
Thank goodness we’ve come so far since the days of hot metal bricks and woodstoves. These days, I much prefer to slip a little hand or foot warmer into my mittens and boots and go about my day (whether shoveling, skiing, sledding, or sitting in a cold stadium watching a football game) knowing that my fingers and toes will be warm and toasty for the duration.
Everyone can use hand and foot warmers, making them the perfect branded giveaway for cold weather events. Our favorites are both budget friendly (between $1 and 2.00 per piece depending upon the quantity) and biodegradable (they fully decompose within 9 months), making them a great addition to your winter promotional programs.
