Through the Power of Social Media, You Can Now be in Two Places at Once!
It is absolutely incredible the leaps and bounds that social media has made in the last few years! When YouTube first began, it was a platform meant to host short videos for viewers to watch, comment on, and discuss.
Who would have thought that you would ever be able to stream a live broadcast to your computer screen from halfway across the globe? As I sit on my computer, researching possible videos to comment on for clients, I noticed a small bar on the top of my YouTube browser: “Join us live on the red carpet at the premier of Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows- Part 1.”
Because I am such a Harry Potter fanatic, out of curiosity I immediately clicked the “Watch now” link. I was instantaneously directed to a new page and after a few seconds of buffering, I was watching Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton, Rupert Grint and the Weasley twins walk the red carpet in London, England.
